I am Setys Kelly, and I am running for State Central Committee Woman for District 10 which is Clark, Greene and Clinton Counties.  Each district has one man and one woman who represent them.

I am a Christian, a wife, mother, and sister. I was born in Northwestern Montgomery Co and was raised in a small rural farming town called Phillipsburg. My family and ancestors hail from Kentucky and England. I moved to Clark Co for college, and graduated with a BA in Social Work, and a minor in Criminology. I’ve worked at the Welfare Dept, OVCH, CCCH, and Oesterlan Services.  After I became a mother, I was a stay-at-home mom.  Being a very active and organized individual, I found myself on the Board of the Crisis Pregnancy Center, the event organizer at my church – which at that time meant renting Kuss Auditorium and managing concerts for Christian Artists. I was also an advocate against zoning changes in my township, and I forged a new business as an event planner and wedding cake designer.

 

When my children became enrolled in school, I also began substitute teaching. I am a licensed Social Worker, and a licensed Foster Parent Trainer for the State of Ohio, specializing in Sexual Abuse.

I can talk all day about the ramifications of sexual abuse. It’s easy to do when you have been a victim.  Sexual abuse changes every aspect of your being. It shapes your entire life for the rest of your life.  What the Left is doing today to the children of this country is nothing short of abuse. I have spent the last 13 years working as a sales rep with various mfg. in the gift & Floral industry throughout Ohio, Ky and Atlanta until COVID.

 

I met my husband in college and will be married 40 years this coming June. Like you, our lives have had many challenges. One of the worst was that we went through bankruptcy, due to our 7-year lawsuit with the builder of our dream home. I have 5 children,  2 live births. Lauren 34 and Paige 28.  Both children have had medical challenges.  Lauren had brain tumors, and Paige major migraines, gastro issues, and broken back. Knowing what I now know, I have to wonder if this was a result of vaccinations. 

 

I am not a politician, but I am political. I never ran for office other than Class President, and there are no politicians in my family. But I am like all of you.  We are the top 1% of the population that is informed and engaged. People need to be informed. They need to vote early, and Bank Their Vote. If you are tired of the same candidates, you need to vote in the Primary. My election is only in the Primary, this March, because only Republicans can vote for me.

 

I have always been an activist and politically minded. Even in highschool I started my own program of Stop Smoking in the Bathroom because I have to pee! I always side against the bully. While living in Arcanum calling for the ambulance or fire truck was long distance. I started a petition and got that changed. I became extremely active during COVID which is why I lost my job.  I am a no jab girl, but I lost my position due to our State not being open for business.

 

I have Studied the Constitution with the IOTC, and am qualified as a Teacher of the Constitution. I have been elected to both the Central and Executive Committee’s in my county. I became the Party Treasurer, from which I resigned after 3 years. For the last two years I have been State Secretary of the Ohio Federation of Republican Woman. Now, I'm President of my Women’s club. I have trained with the Leadership Institute in VA. In 2023, I founded the Clark County Conservative Club.  

 

Thanks to my driver, I have been all across the state to many party meetings, candidate forums, sometimes as many as 4-5 nights a week, I’ve attended all but one of the State Central Committee Meetings for the past 2 ½ years, and have met with our officials in DC. I also have been able to experience Wreaths across America, which was extra special to me due to my father’s service in WWII.

 

While in DC, I participated with the People’s Convoy. I am a lover of history, and an avid reader. I’m definitely your "Phone a Friend" if you find yourself on Who Wants to Be A Millionaire. I also scrapbook and do genealogy. I’ve climbed many mountains in SE Kentucky and I have found all of my Paternal Ancestors graves back to those here before the Revolutionary War. My family has fought in every war since they landed in VA in the late 1600’s up to and including the Vietnam War.

 

I am honest, very opinionated, smart, helpful, a leader, and an independent worker. I have excellent organizational skills, keen problem-solving skills, am always first to volunteer, a fixer, an instructor, a teacher, and always willing to try something new. I bleed American, cry at the National Anthem and Pledge of Allegiance, I am reverent and respectful of the office of elected officials. I am not always a fan of the office holder. I am a true patriot.

 

Sometimes, I am a little hard to take. I know that, but, I am determined, and don’t wait around to take action.  I don’t get frazzled, I’m strong, I am fearless, I stop for accidents and have even given chest compressions. I also told a driver to get saved God had a plan for his life, because that semi hit him three times.

 

 I stand up for the weak. I’m giving, I’m funny, I’m articulate, I was the first candidate to file for this race, and my husband describes me as the crisis coordinator. Whatever happens I’ll get it figured out, and take responsibility if I fail. And I will still continue to find a solution. I have the time needed to be in this office and do the service that our communities deserve.

 

What I am not, is a candidate that has ran and lost a race, and now could not decide on which race to be in this time around. I am not a candidate who has attended only the meetings in my county, or a candidate that has never attended a meeting until I ran for this position. I do not have young children that I need to be responsible for. I don’t do school pick-ups or drop-off’s and have no school meetings or events to attend in the evenings. I’m not a candidate who is totally bought and paid for by the establishment Republicans who want to further their agenda of squashing the voice of the people. My brothers are not politicians. I have not spent the last two years driving a wedge so deep into the Republican Party that it will take years to unite, nor have I cost the party $300,000 which could have been used to grow the party instead of embarrassing it. I AM ALSO, NOT A CROOK!  Regardless of the lies my opponent tells. Remember, when people cannot control you, they try to control the way that others see you.

 

I am a 2A supporter. I am for small business. I’m for smaller government. We are whittling away our rights and paring down the Constitution. I am pro-life. But I am a huge advocate for adoption, and in cases of parental abuse, I advocate for Children’s Homes rather than foster care. 

 

I am proudly a supporter of First Responders. I am not always happy about the ones who pull me over for speeding or the fact that I did not remember to renew my tags.  I go way back in my appreciation of them to the time of my car accident at 16 years old. You can take a look at my Facebook feed to learn a little about that. For the past 2 years I have organized the Clark County 1st Responders Appreciation Dinner. Each year it has been completely paid for by financial contributions that I solicited.

 

The goals for my tenure as your Central Committee member is to foster some unity in the Republican Party.  They’re aligned against each other. Dems always hang together. In the Republican party we are closer together than we are apart. We need to stop fighting within our own party. Not every person who serves a second term is a RINO. The tide is changing and it is for the new MAGA faction. Which is the voice of the people, not the elites. They can’t buck our tide forever. We just need to keep voting Patriot, and hang in there, and keep chipping away.

 

Education of the voter is next. I have hosted a training for the Grassroots on political campaigns and issues, and how the Party committees work together, how to grow and organize your local volunteers. My Conservative Club has educated voters on ESG scores, local tax issues, training on Issue 1.  Future events are voter integrity, and Mom’s for Liberty.

 

What is SCC?  It is the governing body of the Republican Party.  They are the officers of the Party.  We decide the platform, vet candidates, endorse candidates, bring resolutions forth, and raise money for the party. It is a position where you do not earn a penny. For the last 3 years, not much work is getting done. Plans and schemes of evil have kept everyone distracted ridiculous law suits, and  We have an important election to win. Every available office must be won by a Republican, we cannot let evil prevail.  This is no longer a fight of Right against Left. It is a fight of Good vs Evil.

 

 Choose the candidate that is best for Ohio and best for (District 10) I am sure when you evaluate your choices your decision will be me.
